Embracing the profound sense of freedom that comes from God’s spirit.

Now the Lord is that Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. (2 Corinthians 3:17)

Across the globe, people are in search of liberty in various aspects of their lives. Some yearn for financial freedom, hoping to break free from the constraints of debt and economic instability. Others seek liberation from toxic relationships that stifle their happiness and growth. This universal longing for freedom is deeply rooted in our human experience; when we find ourselves ensnared in difficult situations, our greatest desire often becomes the quest for liberation.

Consider the scenario of renting a home from someone who imposes strict rules and creates a tumultuous living environment. Such a situation can lead to countless sleepless nights as the daily stressors accumulate. The moment you decide to move out, you take a significant step toward reclaiming your peace and independence. However, simply moving out is not enough; before you can achieve complete freedom, it is essential to formally terminate any contract or agreement binding you to that person. This legal separation is akin to breaking free from the emotional and mental ties that hold you captive.

Imagine a bird that has spent its entire life in a cage. Even when the door is opened, it hesitates to leave, clinging to the familiar bars that have kept it secure but trapped. This bird symbolizes individuals who, despite finding freedom through spiritual liberation, may still be hesitant to let go of their past struggles and entanglements. Just as the bird must have the courage to fly out into the open sky to truly experience freedom, people must also fully release their former bindings to embrace the liberty offered by the Spirit of the Lord. Only then can they soar to new heights, unencumbered by past constraints.

In the introductory scripture, the writer emphasizes that where the Spirit of the Lord is present, there exists true liberty. This implies that individuals who have been born of the Spirit of God are meant to experience profound freedom. However, many people grapple with the challenge of fully disconnecting from their past lives.

While God’s gift of liberty resides within you through His Spirit, the key to experiencing this freedom lies in severing all ties to the elements of your past that continue to bind you. As highlighted in Galatians 5:1, true liberation requires a conscious effort to let go of those shackles, allowing you to embrace the fullness of the freedom available through the Spirit.

To fully enjoy the liberty intended for you, it’s essential to reflect on what is holding you back. This may involve confronting past traumas, shifting your mindset, and surrounding yourself with positive influences that empower you on your path to freedom. Only through this intentional disconnection can you authentically step into the abundant life promised to those who walk in the Spirit.

    Prayer / Confession

Thank you, Father, for the liberty you have bestowed upon me through your Spirit. I eagerly anticipate embracing this newfound freedom in my life. As I prepare to fully disconnect from anything that might entangle me, I look forward to the guidance you will provide, helping me to walk in this exciting newness of life.

  • You are tasked with producing results that reflect your own nature.

You are tasked with producing results that reflect your own nature.

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should last. That whatever you ask of the Father in my name may be given to you. (John 15:16)

One of humanity’s greatest mandates is to multiply. People born of women have been instructed by God to do just that. (Genesis 1:28) It seems mankind has embraced this directive, fulfilling it to the fullest extent possible.

Every individual born of a woman aspires to create a family and raise children of their own. Today, we see a global population exceeding 8.02 billion, a testament to the procreation command given to us in the garden.

When God granted us His life, He also called us to be fruitful. In John 15:16, Jesus highlights that humanity’s purpose is rooted in fruitfulness. In essence, those who carry the spirit of God are likewise called to generate others of their kind. Sadly, this mandate has often been overlooked. Every person born of the spirit of God shares this same call to fruitfulness. Our growth in number comes from our ability to share and spread the gospel.

We have a responsibility to multiply our kind on earth and to increase the number of God’s children in His Kingdom. As you go about your daily activities today, don’t forget this important task; make it a priority to fulfill this divine mandate.

  • Your identity in Christ is unchanging.

Your identity in Christ is unchanging.

All that the Father giveth me shall come to me, and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.” (John 6:37)

Think of the relationship between a parent and child. When a child is born into a family, they inherit physical traits and the family’s values, identity, and love. Similarly, when we come to God and are born of His Spirit, we receive a divine identity that can never be altered. Just like a child carries their family’s legacy, we carry the nature of God, which is unchangeable and brings us into partnership with Him. Just as a child cannot change their lineage no matter the circumstances, neither can we change our spiritual identity once we are His.

The scripture from John 6:37 reminds us of a profound truth: “All that the Father giveth me shall come to me, and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.” This verse highlights the extraordinary and unconditional love that God offers to those who earnestly seek Him. Understanding this divine love can inspire us to embrace our spiritual journey with confidence and assurance.

This verse underscores the profound and unconditional love that God extends to those who seek Him—a love that transcends human understanding and experience.

The concept of being born of the Spirit of God is pivotal in Christian theology. It refers to a spiritual rebirth that fundamentally alters one’s identity and nature. This transformation is not merely superficial; once a person undergoes this rebirth, their identity as a child of God becomes an indelible part of who they are. This divine nature cannot be diminished or altered by the trials or temptations of the world.

Understanding this God-given nature is essential for believers. It signifies not only a change in status but also a deep and abiding relationship with God. When individuals come to Jesus and accept the gift of the Holy Spirit, they begin to realize their true identity as heirs to God’s promises. This partnership with God signifies that He does not disown His nature within us; rather, it becomes integral to our existence. However, it is crucial for believers to cultivate an awareness of their new identity.

A lack of understanding about who they have become can lead to spiritual confusion and hinder their ability to fully embrace their role in God’s kingdom. By exploring scriptures, engaging in prayer, and doing the will of God, individuals can deepen their knowledge of their divine identity, leading to a more fulfilling spiritual life and a stronger connection with God.

Your identity in Christ is an unwavering foundation, radiating strength and purpose that empowers every aspect of your life. Embrace it with confidence and joy!

  • You are a cherished treasure of God

You are a cherished treasure of God

And I give unto them eternal life; they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. (John 10:28)

The life of God that we receive through Christ is an extraordinary and profound reality that surpasses our earthly comprehension. To possess everlasting life means to embrace the very essence of God, which includes receiving His spirit. This gift assures us that no force can remove the spirit of God from our lives; it reflects the tremendous investment God has made in us and His unwavering commitment to protect us from perishing.

Each individual who has the spirit of God is regarded as a precious treasure in His eyes. This divine treasure signifies that God Himself is actively watching over you, providing a protective barrier that prevents you from being lured back into the chaos of the world. Jesus powerfully asserts in the scripture that “no man shall pluck them out of my hand,” which emphasizes the unique and unparalleled protection afforded to those who carry the life of God within them.

This assurance is not just a promise; it is a profound declaration of our identity as His children. We are transformed to reflect His image and likeness, meaning that even while we inhabit this earth, we hold citizenship and belonging in His heavenly kingdom. The most essential possession we can have in this life is the life of God itself. If you have embraced this divine life, take comfort in knowing that you are secure in God’s embrace.

He will never abandon you nor forsake you; He will empower you to stand out in a crowd and make His presence known through you.

As you engage with this message, may the spirit of God descend upon you, bringing you into a season of manifestation filled with His glory, which is divinely safeguarded by Him.

  • Giving is inherent to the nature of the sons of God.

Giving is inherent to the nature of the sons of God.

“Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.” (Matthew 5:42)

One day, a man fell into a trance and found himself in the presence of an angel. The angel beckoned him to follow, promising to reveal something profound. As they moved forward, he encountered a grand banquet, adorned with a variety of food, where people sat, eagerly awaiting their master’s command to begin dining.

Curious, the man inquired about the scene before him. The angel replied, “This is hell, the abode of the devil. Those seated here wait for their master to instruct them to eat.” Suddenly, the devil appeared and ordered them to feast. In that moment, the man realized a distressing truth—the inhabitants of hell lacked elbows. Without the ability to bend their arms to reach their mouths, they helplessly pushed food to the ground, leaving the space in disarray.

All around him echoed cries of hunger and despair. The angel then guided him to another realm, proclaiming it to be the dwelling of the highest God. Here, a similar banquet unfolded, with people again devoid of elbows. Yet, in Heaven, when God commanded them to eat, they joyfully fed one another, sharing the bounty until all were satisfied, laughter ringing through the air. Giving is the very essence of the children of God. We are called to extend our hands in generosity to all, holding no malice in our hearts. Just as God bestows blessings generously upon everyone, we too should give liberally.

“That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sendeth rain on the just and the unjust.” (Matthew 5:45) Let our giving be without reluctance, reflecting the nature of our Father, who blesses both the righteous and the unrighteous.

We should even reach out to our enemies. In giving, we unlock doors and enhance our standing in His Kingdom. To understand the secret of prosperity, embrace the art of generous giving, and you shall become a great blessing to many.

  • Jesus accomplished the plan of God

Jesus accomplished the plan of God

“And so it is written, the first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.”. (1 Corinthians 15:45)

Unlike Adam, who was formed from the dust of the earth, the Bible reveals that Jesus, as “the Last Adam,” is the Spirit of God from heaven. The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven (1 Corinthians 15:47).

Through the first Adam, man gained access to God’s dominion mandate and the knowledge of good and evil, which diverted his focus from God and set him in enmity with Him. However, through our Lord Jesus Christ, man receives everlasting life, uniting our bodies to God through His death.

Moreover, Jesus ventured into the wilderness to confront the separation between man and God, enabling humanity to embrace eternity and reflect the divine nature. By overcoming Lucifer (the devil) in the wilderness, Jesus fulfilled all righteousness. He reconciled us to God through His death, as stated: “And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled” (Colossians 1:21).

He lifted the veil from our hearts, instilling within us the very mind of God. Just as we have mirrored the first Adam in yielding to the flesh, we are empowered through the Last Adam to yield to God. Through Christ, the fullness of God dwells in us. Many perceive Jesus’ forty days in the wilderness merely as fasting; however, led by the Holy Spirit, He sought the presence of God to tackle the barriers preventing mankind from embodying His image.

“Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil” (Matthew 4:1). God sent Him there to be tested and proven, overcoming temptation so that, while aware of good and evil, man could always choose good. He stood as an example before God, guiding humanity to focus on God rather than self. Our Redeemer accomplished this “in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight” (Colossians 1:22).

Consequently, the children of God are seen as holy, without reproach and blame, through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. Hallelujah!

  • Be courageous, face the problem

    Be courageous, face the problem

“Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day; I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law; and if I perish, I perish.” (Esther 4:16 )

Esther stood firm, ready to face the king, determined to act even at the cost of her life because she knew her purpose. Though Goliath was formidable, David approached him with unwavering confidence and triumphed. “Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, spear, and shield; but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.” (1 Samuel 17:45).

It’s time to awaken from your slumber; don’t let your struggles intimidate you. How could God’s glory shine if David had fled from the Philistine? You must confront your battles to honour the Lord. Regardless of the pain, challenges, or storms you face, place your confidence in Christ. You will surely overcome. The power of God within us is unmatched. “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.” (1 John 4:4).

By focusing on Christ, we can confidently tackle our challenges. God stands with us as a loving father who will never let us down. “Be strong and of a good courage; fear not, nor be afraid of them; for the LORD thy God, it is he that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” (Deuteronomy 31:6). Often, when faced with tough situations, we can feel hopeless, but God calls us to be courageous and have the utmost confidence and assurance that victory is ours. “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, nor be thou dismayed; for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” (Joshua 1:9). Courage is a divine command accompanied by a promise; embrace courage and confront your challenges. The problems you face today will soon be behind you.

  • A divine protection surrounds you.

    A divine protection surrounds you.

“Hast, not thou made a hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? Thou hast blessed the work of his hands and his substance is increased in the land.” (Job 1:10 )

On a warm summer night, as I struggled to find sleep, restlessness motivated me to take a stroll at 1:30 am. Just as I opened my gate, I noticed someone attempting to leap over my neighbour’s wall. Fear gripped me, yet I chose to hide and observe. Suddenly, there was a loud thud, followed by the familiar barks of dogs.

The security guard soon arrived and apprehended the intruder, who was then turned over to the sheriff. This incident reminds us of the truth in John 10:10—Satan, like a thief, seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. If there’s no protective hedge around us, he can easily infiltrate our lives. Just as God protected Job with a divine hedge, we, as God’s children, are special and receive His preferential treatment.

When the Lord surrounds us with His protection, the enemy cannot prevail against us (Hosea 2:6; Ecclesiastes 10:8). As true children of God, we need His divine protection. With God as our protector, He establishes strong hedges around us—unbreakable barriers against the enemy’s advances. It is crucial to remember that the enemy lurks, seeking someone to devour. In the story of Job, even Satan acknowledged God’s impenetrable fortress.

Before the Children of Israel could conquer Jericho, they had to dismantle its walls, illustrating that without strong defenses, the enemy can easily infiltrate (Joshua 5:20). Through our deep fellowship with God, He fortifies our walls. The hedge of God is the blood of Jesus, which overcomes all fiery darts of the enemy. All who believe in Jesus are enveloped by His protective blood. I pray that your hedge remains unshakable in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  • Broken Promise

    Broken Promise

Nevertheless, I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. (Revelations 2:4)

Junior Blay, reflecting on his journey and his struggles, posed an important question: “Does God Forgive Broken Promises?” In his heartfelt story, he expressed his concerns about his soul. “I’m embarrassed to ask this question, but I’m worried. I lacked guidance on sex and sought answers online, leading me to pornography.

It didn’t bring me peace, so I sought God’s forgiveness and promised to change. Yet, I found myself back in that place, renewing my promise multiple times. I deleted the content from my computer, but I question my standing with God due to my broken promises.” Many of us can relate; we make commitments and, despite our intentions, find ourselves off track. Paul captured this struggle: “For that which I do, I allow not; for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.” (Romans 7:15)

The challenge of keeping promises often weighs heavy on our hearts. In Hebrews 10:26, it states, “For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins.” This can feel stern, yet it reminds us of our journey in faith. Initially, our love for God shines bright, akin to angels in those early months of belief. God calls us to a higher standard, encouraging us not to return to old habits (Proverbs 26:11).

Peter warned against false prophets who lack true change. Repentance is essential, and many in faith, too, require this renewal, echoing the journey back to our first love. Even amidst wandering, there remains the opportunity for repentance; as long as we live, we can always turn back to our Father (Luke 15:11–32). Let us strive earnestly to honor our promises, for God has sworn never to leave us or forsake us.

“Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.” (1Chronicles 16:22 )

When Saul, God’s anointed, disobeyed and spared the best sheep and oxen of Amalek (1 Samuel 15:15), Samuel boldly condemned him, declaring, “Rebellion is the sin of witchcraft” (v. 23), and announced that God had rejected him as King.

Despite being unjustly pursued by Saul, David refused to lay a hand on him, stating, “Who can stretch out his hand against the Lord’s anointed and be guiltless?” (I Samuel 26:3-11). He even rebuked Abner for not protecting Saul and showing profound respect and obedience to the divine order.

David understood the sacred principle: “Touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm.” This powerful rule echoes throughout the Bible, and David’s actions exemplify true reverence. We may struggle to grasp the depth of Saul’s malevolence towards David, yet we see the unwavering faith in divine protection.

In today’s world, all children of God stand as His anointed: “But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you” (1 John 2:27). No demon can touch you; your immune system is “UNTOUCHABLE,” equipped to combat anything that threatens you (Isaiah 54:17). We rise triumphantly over every attack, whether physical or spiritual, leaving the battles to the Lord while steadfastly believing in our untouchable nature. However, this assurance calls us to righteousness; we must not engage in evil or propagate false teachings. We will be held accountable for every action that contradicts God’s word.
