  • To Whom Much Is Given

    To Whom Much Is Given

“And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.” Luke 12:47–48

The reward of your salvation is not merely in believing, but in continuously proclaiming the gospel and walking according to the Spirit of God. Salvation is both a gift and a calling—one that comes with divine responsibility.

This parable in Luke reminds us that greater knowledge brings greater accountability. Those who have received the Spirit of God are expected to bear more fruit than those who have not. As the popular saying goes, “To whom much is given, much is required.” Indeed, this is a kingdom principle. God has invested heaven’s best—His Spirit—into us, and He expects a return in the form of obedience, service, and fruitfulness. Romans 8:14  “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”

Receiving the Holy Spirit is not a passive experience. It is a commissioning to live a life that reflects the nature, wisdom, and power of God. Our daily walk should mirror the truth that we are people who have received divine help, divine insight, and divine strength.

We must live each day with eternity in mind, as though it were the Day of Judgment. In doing so, we continually align ourselves with the will of the Father, and remain alert and faithful until Christ returns. Galatians 5:25 : “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”

Many believe in Jesus. Fewer receive His Spirit. And even fewer walk according to that Spirit. But the Spirit of God in us is the greatest investment Heaven has made on earth. It is a trust, a power, and a privilege. And it calls us to live lives worthy of that trust.

    Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of salvation and the power of Your Holy Spirit within me. Help me to walk worthy of the calling I have received. Stir in me a desire to proclaim the gospel boldly and to live in alignment with Your will. May I never take lightly the responsibilities You’ve entrusted to me. Give me the grace to remain faithful, fruitful, and vigilant, so that I may stand before You without reproach on the Day of Judgment.
    In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Love as Christ loved the Church

“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it.” Ephesians 5:25

In Ephesians 5:25, the Apostle Paul delivers a profound command: that husbands should love their wives “as Christ loved the church.” This is not a casual or conditional love—it is sacrificial, unwavering, and deeply rooted in spiritual unity.

The Greek word for “church” is ekklesia, meaning “the called-out ones”—those who are born of the Spirit of God and gathered as His body. Christ’s love for the church is a paternity-driven love. It’s not a love based on emotion alone but on oneness—a spiritual bloodline that connects the believer to Christ in both purpose and essence.

The Bible says, “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit” (1 Corinthians 6:17). This spiritual unity reflects God’s design for marriage. A husband and wife are not merely companions—they are joined as one flesh (Genesis 2:24), woven together in a bond that mirrors the oneness between Christ and His church.

Such love is instinctive, not forced. It is protective, nurturing, and deeply empathetic. When one hurts, the other feels the pain. When one rejoices, the other shares in the joy. This is how God calls husbands to love—to feel and live as one with their wives. And more broadly, it is the same compassion God expects us to extend to lost souls—because when we are filled with His Spirit, our love becomes His love flowing through us.

    Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for showing us the perfect model of love through Jesus Christ. Teach us to love as you love—with purity, purpose, and passion. May every husband be empowered to cherish his wife with sacrificial love, rooted in spiritual oneness. And may we as your children extend this same love to those who are lost, that they may be drawn to your heart. Bind us together in spirit, and let our love reflect your glory.
    In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  • Overcoming a Crazy World

    Overcoming a Crazy World

“Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.” Romans 12:21

We live in a world that often feels upside down—where evil seems to prosper and morality is tossed aside in pursuit of money, fame, and power. People harm others without remorse: fraud, violence, corruption, even the trafficking of human lives for material gain. These heartbreaking realities remind us that the world is indeed “a crazy world.”

But the chaos of the world is a reflection of its fallen nature. The Bible makes it clear that those who are of the world will act according to the world’s standards:

“For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father, but is of the world.” —1 John 2:16

However, those who are born of the Spirit live differently. “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” —1 John 3:9

This does not mean believers never stumble, but rather that their nature is no longer ruled by sin—they are transformed by God’s Spirit and called to reflect His character in the world. While darkness increases, the calling of the believer remains the same: to be salt and light, to represent Christ, and to overcome evil with good.

As ambassadors of Christ, we are not here to mirror the anger, bitterness, or selfishness around us. Instead, we are here to heal, restore, and point hearts back to the love of God. Even when the world does not change, our assignment does not change. “If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.” —Romans 12:18  “Now then we are ambassadors for Christ…” —2 Corinthians 5:20. No matter how dark the world becomes, we carry the light of Christ. And this light is not overcome by darkness—it shines even brighter.

    Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for calling me out of the darkness of this world and into Your marvelous light. In a world filled with evil, help me not to be discouraged or afraid. Strengthen me to reflect Your love, Your peace, and Your righteousness in every place You send me. Make me an ambassador of hope. Teach me to overcome evil with good, and to be a vessel of transformation to those around me. Let my life speak of Your mercy and truth, and may my actions draw hearts back to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Empowered by the spirit: walking in power, love, and a sound mind

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7

To be born of the Spirit of God is to step into the fullness of what God has given to His children. We are not left vulnerable or fearful in a broken world—we are equipped, empowered, and established in divine authority.

The Spirit of God is not a spirit of timidity. It is a spirit of power—to overcome darkness, love—to walk in Christ-like compassion, and a sound mind—to remain stable, wise, and disciplined even in chaotic times.

A sound mind speaks of spiritual clarity, self-control, and mental stability that comes from being led by the Holy Spirit. It is not shaken by fear or confusion but anchored in truth and governed by God’s wisdom.

When fear whispers lies, remember: God did not author fear. He authored power to prevail, love to heal, and a sound mind to endure. This is your inheritance as a child of God.

There is no greater gift than to be born of the Spirit. It means that the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead now lives in you—strengthening you, guiding you, and making you victorious in all things.

    Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for the precious gift of Your Spirit. I reject the spirit of fear and embrace the power, love, and sound mind You’ve given me. Help me walk boldly in Your truth, with a mind anchored in peace and purpose. Strengthen me daily to reflect Your power in every area of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  • Trusting God’s provision

    Trusting God’s provision

“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” — Hebrews 13:5

In a world driven by material gain and constant striving for more, God calls His children to a higher way of living—one rooted in contentment and trust in His unfailing provision.

The natural man—unredeemed and governed by the flesh—hungers for worldly possessions, chasing after money, status, and security in temporal things. But as believers, we are reminded that our lives are not defined by the abundance of what we possess, but by the faithfulness of the one who provides.

God does not promise to give us everything we want, but He promises to supply everything we need—daily, faithfully, and lovingly. Each new day is a divine gift. When you open your eyes in the morning, it’s not by chance. It’s a sign that God is still walking with you, still covering you with His mercy, and still providing for your journey.

True peace is found not in accumulation but in assurance—the assurance that He will never leave you nor forsake you. As you go through today, resist the pull of covetousness. Instead, embrace the quiet strength of contentment. Let your heart be anchored in the unshakable truth that God is with you—and that is more than enough.

    Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of this new day. Teach me to live free from the grip of greed and the restless pursuit of more. Help me to find peace in Your daily provision and to trust that You are always enough. Strengthen my heart to remain content, even in times of lack, knowing You are with me. May my life reflect Your faithfulness and bring glory to Your name.
    In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  • The life of God in you

The life of God in you

“For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself.” — John 5:26

The Greek word for “life” in this passage is Zōē (ζωή) — not merely existence or biological life (bios), but the very essence of God’s divine nature. It is the eternal, self-existent life that makes God who He is. Unlike human life, which begins and ends, Zōē is uncreated, incorruptible, and eternal.

This life is not something God merely gives—it is something He is. God is life (John 14:6), and His Spirit is the carrier of this divine substance. When Jesus came into the world, He didn’t just teach moral values or perform miracles—He demonstrated the very life of God on earth. “In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.” — John 1:4

When you receive Jesus Christ, you are not just forgiven—you are infused with the life of God. This divine life becomes your nature. It brings peace in chaos, joy in sorrow, love in hatred, and righteousness in a fallen world. This is not a future promise only; it is your present reality in Christ. “He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” — 1 John 5:12

This Zōē life is what makes you a child of God. Without it, you cannot partake in God’s nature. But with it, you are no longer an ordinary human—you are recreated, born from above (John 3:6), filled with the Spirit, and empowered to live victoriously. “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

Let this truth sink in: You carry the very life of God. Walk in it. Speak from it. Think with it. Live by it.

    Prayer:
Father, I thank You for giving me Your divine life through Jesus Christ. I declare that I am no longer of the world but born of Your Spirit and filled with Your eternal life. Help me to walk in this truth daily—with confidence, joy, and authority. May Your life in me overflow in love, peace, power, and purpose. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

  • The necessity of preaching the Gospel

The necessity of preaching the Gospel

“For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!”
    1 Corinthians 9:16

Many believe that preaching the Gospel is reserved for a select few—pastors, evangelists, or missionaries. But Paul shatters that mindset with a powerful declaration: “Necessity is laid upon me.” He speaks not of convenience, but of divine urgency. This is not optional. It is a calling woven into the identity of every believer.

Jesus Himself said, “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain…” (John 15:16). This speaks not only of purpose, but of legacy—of fruit that abides. Just as the natural man is instructed to “be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth” (Genesis 1:28), the spiritual man is called to multiply the kingdom and replenish the earth with truth.

To be born of the Spirit is to be born with the DNA of heaven. And in that DNA is the commission to reproduce. The Gospel we have received is not a private treasure, but a public light. Jesus said, “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.” (Matthew 5:14)

Paul understood this well. He didn’t preach out of ambition or applause. He preached because he had no other choice. “Woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!” he declared. It wasn’t fear—it was a reverent awareness of responsibility.

When you truly grasp the glory of the Gospel, you will understand that sharing it is not a burden but an honor. You represent heaven on earth. Every conversation, every act of love, every opportunity to witness becomes a moment of eternal significance.

    Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for the privilege of carrying Your Gospel. Help me never to take lightly the calling You have placed on my life. Stir in me a holy urgency to preach, teach, and live out the truth of Christ daily. May I be found faithful to Your purpose, multiplying Your kingdom with joy and boldness. Use me as Your ambassador, that through my life, many will come to know You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
