“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19 (KJV)

The Greek word translated as “supply” is plēroō (πληρόω), meaning to fill to the full, to complete, to satisfy entirely. It conveys the idea of overflowing abundance, not just basic provision. God doesn’t give sparingly—He fills every gap, satisfies every lack, and ensures His children are fully equipped for every good work.

Paul says “all your need,” not some. This includes physical needs like food and shelter, emotional needs like peace and encouragement, spiritual needs like salvation and purpose, and even financial or relational needs. Everything you require to live a fulfilled, godly life—God promises to supply. Your survival and success on earth are not in your employer’s hands, not even in your own hands—but in the hands of God.

God supplies our needs “according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” This means the measure of His giving isn’t based on the world’s resources but on heaven’s unlimited storehouse. And because it’s through Jesus, the supply comes with mercy, grace, and perfect timing.

As God’s child, you are not meant to live in anxiety or insufficiency. You are part of His royal family—an heir of His promises. God desires that you walk in peace, provision, and purpose. The good things He gives are not temporary—they are perfect and permanent. Trust in Him. Wait on Him. And watch Him do exceedingly, abundantly above all that you ask or imagine.

Prayer

Father, I thank You that You are the God who meets every need in my life. I cast all my cares on You, believing that nothing is beyond Your ability to provide. Supply me according to Your riches, and let my life reflect Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
