Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth?” – Jeremiah 23:24

There is nothing hidden from God. He sees all, knows all, and is present everywhere. His eyes are not limited by time, distance, or secrecy. As Proverbs 15:3 says, “The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.” There is no secret place, no silent thought, and no hidden agenda that escapes His attention.

Still, many live as though God is unaware of their choices or uninterested in their affairs. Some believe they can “pause” their relationship with Him to pursue their own desires. But the Word of God reminds us that He fills heaven and earth—He is in every moment, every decision, every heartbeat.

Even Jonah, a prophet of God, tried to flee from His presence. “But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the Lord…” (Jonah 1:3). It was a futile attempt, for God’s presence found him in the depths of the sea. Just like Jonah, many try to run—but God’s love and purpose still reach them.

Psalm 139:7–10 captures it beautifully:
“Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there… even there shall thy hand lead me.”

Rather than hide from Him, the safest place for any soul is to run to Him. God’s presence is not something to escape—it is something to dwell in. Psalm 91:1 declares, “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”

In a world full of uncertainty and deception, walking in the Spirit of His glory is our strength and security. “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” (Romans 8:14)

The invitation is open: Don’t run from God—run into His arms. Let Him lead you, cover you, and transform you.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your all-seeing eyes and never-failing presence. I surrender every hidden place in my heart to You. Forgive me for the times I tried to go my own way. Teach me to rest in You, to walk in Your Spirit, and to live in the light of Your truth. May I never forget that You fill all things—and in You, I am safe. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
