In Matthew 17:1–2, we find a transformative moment as Jesus takes Peter, James, and John up a high mountain. There, he is transfigured before them, his face shining like the sun and his garments radiating pure light. This remarkable transformation reveals his true divine nature, as the brilliance that emanated from him is beyond earthly comparison. It’s no wonder that even the demons recognized his authority, bowing before him in fear, as noted in Mark 3:11. The disciples’ eyes were opened to see Christ in his full glory—not that he changed but that they saw him as he truly is.
In John 9:5, Jesus proclaims that he is the light of the world, a profound truth reflecting his identity. As we carry the Spirit of God within us, we too shine brightly like stars, commanding the respect of darkness. In 2 Corinthians 3:18, we are reminded that with unveiled faces, we behold the glory of the Lord and are transformed into his likeness, moving from glory to glory. It is disheartening to see those who claim this identity live in fear of demons and principalities, for we are meant to reflect that same radiant light and power.
Prayer/Confession
I am deeply grateful for the inspiring spirit my father has instilled in me, which radiates positivity wherever I go. I recognize that I carry a unique illumination that empowers me and connects me to greater forces. May your light shine through me in all my endeavors, allowing others to witness the impact of your glory in my life. Amen.
